To cut or not to cut? - Twitchin Kitten - 10-24-2011

Mention of this on another forum I belong to sparked this.

To circumcise or not?

If you were about to have a boy baby, would you circumcise the boy or not and why?

Barring religious bullshit - and I say bullshit because it is just that, there is nothing that justifies mutilating a little boy. Years ago it was touted as more sanitary but what is stopping someone from teaching the child good hygiene?

Also, sex is way better with an unmutilated penis for the female partner. We're designed this way for a reason.

This statement is pretty much wasted on me.:p

I could give a rat's ass either way. I suppose I would opt to not do it and they when he is 20 years old he could torment his own self with the decision.
Screw him, let him figure it out.
I would also tell him that the reason he has on and the other kids don't is because he is the product of sin. Years later in therapy he would hate me.
Hysterical

It's not the done thing here, unless it is accepted as a religious rite and then only under hospital care.
Mark's nephew had infection so at 10 years old had to be circumcised, but it wasn't the first choice by the doctors.

The big issue happening here is immigrant girls from North Africa who have been circumcised- people are getting prison sentences for that.

Yeah that barbaric practice is still going on in third world countries. I guess women are not allowed to enjoy sex, just produce babies. Most of which they can barely feed as it is.

I think a person should make their own decisions unless they cant, and it is a medical emergency.Example would be if my child was uncircumcised and they developed the issue where the skin wasn't stretching properly and causing blood supply issues.I would be forced to have them circumcised to save their body part but other then that. A child and person for that matter has the right to choose how to modify their body, no one else should be deciding for them. Sexually it is a bonus not to be and thats been proven, but there are some hygene and std concerns with not being cut aswell so its definitely a persons choice.

I am for leaving parts as they are. I had my oldest son circ'ed, but I was 20 yrs old and asked the nurse what I should do-durrrrr.
My youngest is not.

I'm against mutilating a baby's penis against his will. like others say here, it's supposed to be their choice and not the parents' choice. and you have to watch out for those doctors and nurses at the hospitals around here who believe that it's mandatory to get an circumcision for health reasons. they'll pretty much try to pressure parents into doing it instead of letting the parents make a informed choice.

*shakes head*

I just don't see the health benefits unless no one is going to bother teaching the kid how to clean themselves. This comes from every parent whether they're cut or not as an infant. So the parent has to go the extra mile to either learn how to deal with a natural penis or go the extra minute to teach the kid.

Any health issues that arise are not simply because one is not cut, but because they lack the necessary hygiene skills. STD's and yeast infections are only problems on a filthy slob, not the cause of a natural penis IMO.

Any doctor who pushes for this deserves to lose patients in droves.

Jesus christ, I see a bunch of people with no penis advocating for the kid to make their own decision, that would be at the age of 18, unless you have a penis you would not understand what the fuck you're saying.

I don't think a baby much gives a rats ass one way or the other.

this is all about adults talking shit about something that is really none of their business outside of their own house..

parents get to decide on all medical proceedures for their kids, this is no different, let this shit alone what they decide for their kids is none of your business.

Yeah, I bet any one of these guys would have been happy if someone stopped their parents.

And you tell me this baby didn't feel anything? Even the father questioned the no anesthetic being used. The Dr. bullshitted him - there was nothing but the iodine on there.

This is NOT for the squeamish.
