Seriously - is this really something to make controversy over? Anyone NOT knowing Chaz was born a girl does not need to know anything other than this is Chaz Bono.
Both links have different twists to this story. Fox seems to throw a lot more conservative controversy into it and the Washington Post focuses on the ridiculous bigotry still going on toward gay members of society.

Chaz....Chastity....who fucking cares? This is the offspring of Sonny and Cher Bono. That's the whole ball of wax right there. The only reason he is any kind of celebrity is due to his parents, plain and simple.

I hope to hell this whole damned thing ends up with the show being cancelled anyway. Good riddance to a mind numbingly banal excuse for television programming. Bring back sitcoms, action, mystique and drama programming with more prominence. At least when well done those types of shows are entertaining.
BTW......the network execs and programmers are total morons. Example: Shit My Dad Says (we all know that was the ACTUAL title) was holding a number 1 rating in its time slot. So what do the morons do? Cancel it! Now where is the sense in that? Yet moronic drivel like Dancing With The Stars is still on the air.
And the networks wonder why cable channels are beating down their doors.

They cancelled Shit My Dad Says?! Damn them! They left the season in a cliff hanger too! I love that show.
I think the big controversy is Fox - so uptight, so "right wing" so homophobic they dare to put this on. I think they made their own hype about this because you only see the 'controversial' side of this decision coming from their own reporting.

We're not too cool on bigots here either. We've a lot of people from all over the world and lots of races too. BUT all of us here have a good sense of humor and know how to take a joke about ourselves.
