Six Flags New Orleans - zombie town! - Twitchin Kitten - 08-30-2011 Click Me for a mess of photos and story. Sad to see but I can definitely see a zombie movie being filmed here. I can't believe that Sis Flags would leave the park in this shape. I mean all the metal could be scrapped, reused and the rest could be leveled and at least make it a meadow, fields etc. As it is, it's useless, dangerous and an eyesore to say the least. It's also way too expensive to rebuild to the point that it wouldn't realize a return in the foreseeable future. The only way it would be cleared would be if Six Flags and the New Orleans city management would ok a salvage crew to come in and tear it down but they (the crew) would get all proceeds from the materials. Basically..."If you will rip it down you can keep the materials in exchange for not charging a fee." This would at least clear the property.
