I think Matt was trying to do some kind of math listening to this last night for some weird reason or other about proving or disproving the nit wit's theory.

In my experience when on the island of Guam, it is difficult to go somewhere where you cannot see the ocean.
I recall it being 8 miles wide and 32 miles long, the speed limit was 35mph and you could drive around the entire island easily in a morning or afternoon. It is very stable and will not tip over, although I do remember hearing rumors about submarines going under the island and I remember feeling one small earthquake while I was there.

I grew up on Staten Island. I think it is 14 miles from top to bottom and 9 miles at it's widest point and 5 at it's narrowest. Not sure on those numbers but they are close none the less. I never felt that it would tip over.

Yeah, but Staten Island must be connected to something with bridges, right?
Bridges make it stable.

RE: Guam tips Over - Twitchin Kitten - 03-15-2011

Oh yes I forgot about that. 4 bridges to be exact and a ferry.

Why of course this doofball's theory is credible. Everyone KNOWS that islands are just floating on the surface of the water and not rooted to the earth at the bottom!
