Here is a little test that will help you decide.
The answer can be found by posing the following question:

LOL, one shot will do for me thank you very much!
But my scenario would not have a gun but I'd be walking my two pit bulls. I'd just say "Take him down" and they'd both grab an ankle and make a wish like you do with a wishbone from a roasted bird.
Yes, my dogs attack on a hand gesture or the words Take him down.

Hey LK, Kim's old man just fires a cannon every now and then too. I think that would take too much time on a terrorist/mugger but it would do some lovely and well deserving damage.

Yes we have a cannon!! We fired on the July 4th.
