Computer Problems - Twitchin Kitten - 09-09-2009

If I'm a bit gone for the next few days it's because my stupid computer is again infected with a massive amount of trojan viruses. Apparently the last time I was helping Frank with something, whatever it was in there happened to be a trojan generator. I was doing 'something' and it apparently activated. It's running rampant.

It's also infected my 'safe' external hard drive. I pray whatever I am doing will fix and eliminate this but I may need to reformat this pig yet again, which will keep me awol for a couple of days.

Anyone on when a newbie joins and posts please let them know I will be here ASAP to greet and move them up. Vizzy is in charge if he ever wakes up and gets out of Vampire Mode.

Darn, if your comp is still intact download malwarebytes. best antivirus i've heard and i use it but i dont get viruses so yeh.

Malwarebytes sucks. I got it. It's not anitviurs it's anti-malware. I have never had it find anything when I KNOW something got in.

This thing is a trojan generator and it's hiding in my external hard drive. I got a super egghead friend helping me get this thing out.

And I'm still going with a Mac when I can afford to get a new pc!

The best "trojan rooter" I know of is A-Squared.

Nothing would have gotten this thing. It was a Trojan generator. So it hides deep in the system and then engages when triggered by something. Just keeps making more and more new little gremlins and trojans.

This thing got in via FTP and it worked its way into my external hard drive's root system which I cannot access at all. The only way was to wipe the external out and reformat it.
