Wherever it is, its one huge 'Kimchi Rigged' affair.

And it really looks like more than one building. However it is done, its one buggering mess, and I wouldn't live there.

And China is supposed to be far superiour to ours? LOL!

South

RE: Where Am I? - Twitchin Kitten - 03-31-2012

Is it a famous city that people actually visit, ie: tourism hot spot?

RE: Where Am I? - LKTraz - 03-31-2012

For a time......yes.

Hey, in China they tend to do things right, don't they?

New Apartment building falls over

Imagine you are living in one of the same buildings, right next to the one in the video. And imagine you had to look at it every day you looked out your main window. I wonder what you would be thinking about the high technology of Chinese construction techniques?

Doug Coy is immensely impressed with the fact that the Chinese managed to build a 15 story hotel in just six days. I'm impressed: aren't you? And in that short time, how many inspectors actually inspected the quality of the work? What if someone left out a few rivets here and there?

Perhaps Doug Coy should move there and live on the top floor, enjoying the serenity and high standards of Chinese achievement.

No labor unions, that's how they do it.

LK - can I get a hint of what the attraction to the city was? No need to be very specific, just something like textiles, food, tchotchkies or architecture. Religion?

RE: Where Am I? - LKTraz - 04-01-2012

It's mere existence and the fact that it was essentially self sufficient with respect to goods and services available WITHOUT government intervention. It IS a slum.

RE: Where Am I? - Twitchin Kitten - 04-01-2012

Is it a city inside Taiwan or Hong Kong?

RE: Where Am I? - LKTraz - 04-01-2012

It's within Hong Kong.

RE: Where Am I? - Twitchin Kitten - 04-01-2012

OK now we're getting somewhere! At least I got it narrowed down to a recognizable area! Now to think....
