Thanks. What about what I asked about a more "luxurious" ride? Will it feel much smoother or is that a shock absorber / spring type of issue?
But there is still spring and shock involved. You still need to spring the weight, and a shock to dampen the movement of said weight. It's just that IRS will use a coil-over-shock set up. A solid axle could use this, but you will also see them use leaf springs also.

Well, I have to go out today and since it's already 50ยบ I'm going to uncover the car and use it. Doubt they have leaf springs in the Mustang though. Out of curiosity I'm still going to look if I can get under there to see.

Nah, not important. I just wanted to see if it was worth trading up. I'm still partial to my year's body style and for a base model, it's not as lame as I thought it was going to be to drive. I just want a manual transmission and a few more luxuries in regard to the sound system hooking up with my phone / bluetooth and what not instead of having to use the non-stock radio I bought. Plus looking to see if they added more 'hidey holes' for all the crap you stash in the car
8 cylinder would be nice. There really is no great difference in mileage between the 6 and the 8.

On those window stickers between a 6 and an 8 it's similar but I would suggest finding people on Mustang forums that have both engines and see what the real world results are between the engines.
