I actually did wear shorts. I usually leave the house in shorts at 5am all year round and head to the gym. When it is really crappy and cold out I'll put on pants over them, but this morning I said fuckit, gotta be a hard ass.
Actually, my buddy who is about 70 showed up wearing shorts too.

OK SuZ - here are a couple photos of the yard. Excuse the crumminess of them because the wind is blowing like a motherfucker (we need that in Afrikaans) and I just stuck my head out the back door.
It's raining right now. It's been alternating between rain and snow all night. This is very heavy snow that you can't use a snow-blower for.
We woke up to this:

Actually it's warm right now - 35ยบ F so it is still raining. Wind is blowing and it stings.
The surprise 2" we got overnight Sunday into Monday was a nice snow. Very dry, light and fluffy and when the sun hit it just right it sparkled like diamonds scattered all over.
This is pure shit snow. The rain sinks through and settles under the snow layer and when you step in it, it splashes and sloshes. You need knee high rubber boots for this crap. So when it freezes later, there should be about 2" of ice at the ground and crunchy snow on top.

Being fron Pennsylvania....the first snow is "ooooh, look at the pretty snow covered landscape". The second is "oh...more snow".
Third is "MORE fucking snow?"
Forth "Damn white shit"
Fifth and beyond "FUCKING WHITE SHIT!!!! MORE FUCKING WHITE SHIT! I'M SO SICK OF FUCKING WHITE SHIT!"
The seasons in PA.......Almost Winter.....Winter.....STILL Winter and....... Fuck, it's too damned hot now!

So they lied to us. They said no more snow for a few days. Guess what? bracing for 2" - 4" this afternoon.

Yeah. We got 4" today.
I ran out and got 4 new tires on my pickup because the ones I had on were shit for snow.
As I coming home I mentioned to Barb and Patty that I oughtta call one of our local excavation guys and see if he would bring the backhoe/loader up and clear all the shit from my driveway and mailbox across the street and give me a price.
Lo and behold 2 minutes later as I was pulling up by the next door neighbor's place, there he was clearing their driveway!
I jumped out and asked him how much to do mine and he said " I dunno. What do you think it's worth?" I asked if $40 would do it and he said "Sure."
In this day and age where else can you hire a loader for that price?

In the first pic the lump nearest the camera on the left side is a car.
The mailbox area he cleared is about 6 feet back from the road and 300 feet running.

What is Really Funny Is our Daughter HAS NEVER seen this kind of snow that I can remember ankle deep Maybe.
The other factor is young people are again experiencing something that is biting them in the ass. True cases of real and genuine cabin fever. It is getting kinda funny again. Especially as even with electric media people have to spend time in small spaces looking at each other and actually getting bored and sick of the other persons breathing.
