Exactly.

I agree abuse issues are ignored wholey on too large a level to a point where too many tragedies happen to argue over a cig.

I'm gonna stop wearing my seat belt, and start sharing needles with a homosexual Haitian male prostitute. Bastards can't tell me what to do.

I don't wear my seat belts. Nope. Buckled behind me to stop the incessant beeping. Trudi can testify to that. In fact I don't recall her using them on our trip either. Fucking thing sits on my throat and that's not exactly safe driving when you're turning blue, is it?

RE: smoking in the car fines - BarEdul - 11-10-2013

Asphyxia prohibits sound driving...at certain heights decapatation with the same belt sucks too.

This is just another intrusive bullshit piece of feel good PC legislation initially intended to shut whiney activists up. In the end though it has GREAT potential for abuse once govt. bodies realize it could be a cash cow for them.

As for seat belts........I ran with fire and ambulance crews for over 25 years and cut quite a few bodies out of seat belts as well as sent non belt wearers on their way after a bandaid or two and a little wiping off.

It really depends on the particulars of the crash as to whether belts help or in some cases hinder.

I wear mine in the big truck because it's a pretty stiff fine for not having it on. In my pickup? NAH!

RE: smoking in the car fines - BarEdul - 11-11-2013

After all the drunk non belt wearers usually rattle around all a skew and don't get hurt. Its funny how that works. Even more hysterical was a recent near miss in which our back seat passenger managed to escape their seat belt and land face first against my bucket seat in my G20 Van. They didn't find it funny. The guy who was going to head on us wasn't so amused when we attempted road rage either. BUT seat belts aren't the answer to everything they don't always work in all situations.. and if they get stuck and no one has a knife you can potentially burn to death. Good luck with that YUMMY crispy human!
