So, Last month my brother finally opened his restaurant. He had asked me to come up and help so I can relieve mother so she can go home. Do you think she left? Nope.

Anyway, I'm doing my 'waitress' thing ( I hate waiting tables.... I'm better at what I used to do - manage the wait staff and bossing people around!) and we wrap it up for the night and Bro asks me to take the kitchen helper to the bus station a mile down the road.

No biggie.... I got out of cleaning up! So, off I go.

Drop the guy off - who btw, is Mexican and wanted to know everything about American politics! LOL I told him we didn't have enough time but I gave him some good info to get him started and promised him that I'll help him more next time i go up. He was so excited! Me too because I got to un-warp some bullshit he had been fed.

So, I drop him of and driving back the goddamn truck stalls out on me. Just like that! It did this when we went to his test run dinner the week before too. So, since I'm rolling I pop the clutch and it kicks back in again. And it punks out again. And again and then it wont' start - guess where?

You got it, right in the off ramp of the highway that feeds into this road! :banghead: Dammit.

I count to ten after putting the flashers on. It starts, I rev the engine, it's fine I engage the gears..... dies. SHIT! shitshitshitshitshit.

I cuss some more. It fires up! great. I get it rolling. Now I'm on a downhill slope. It croaked again but I see the driveway to the restaurant and I can roll right in.  What do I see behind me? Fucking cop with his rollers on. Goddamit.

I had to pull over. He asked if there was a problem - uh ya! duh.

Turns out he knows my brother and mother from them feeding him. He escorts me back to lot and lets me get parked before he leaves.

Driving home, the stupid truck was fine. But then it goes intermittently the last three weeks.

We're thinking it's the fuel line. Either something clogged it, or the pump. But who has $1000 to fix this? He has a friend who owns a shop and he's been running ideas past him as to what it could be.

We figured if it was the pump, it would be getting progressively worse and by now it should have crapped out totally on me. We toyed with the idea of a speck of crud floating about from the bottom of the tank. That one tiny speck can cause all kinds of trouble.

So yesterday I got on another mad cleaning spree and guess what I found? A recall for the cam shaft sensor on my truck! Guess what is 99% of a possibility of the cause of this? Correcto-mundo!

So, today I got an apt at the Ford dealer at 1 and my truck should be all better! And I'll be independently mobile again! I've been afraid to go out alone should I get stuck someplace and need someone to push me out of the road!

You know I didn't notice this answer, sorry Trudi!

YES :yahoo: They replaced the camshaft censor and it has not stalled out on us at all since! Been almost a month now too so I am tickled pink.

We escaped a costly diagnosis and repair! Now I can save my money and get me some shock absorbers! At least that is what I think is wrong and not U-joints or ball joints. I don't think this truck has ball joints though I'll have to check.
