It was never built, sorry I should have explained. You know the yearly car shows have proto-types? Ideas on the drawing board for the future which eventually appear ten years or so later modified.

Here's a picture of a replica (X2000) made by our local car hero. He took the design from paperwork he bought from the late 1950's and found a suitable donor car to build it as close as the plans.
How do I know so much? The bodyshop where much of the work is styled, is around the corner from where I work and I know the owner, Gary, he re-spray and repaired my camper for me. He would like to 'customise' for me too...but I don't think so... Well not until I see some sensible drawings from him :sms:

I may add, this was the car that car companies thought we (rather the American market) would be driving around in at the Millenium.

OMG the Mini Ha Ha is appropriatly named!

I actually like the Rainbow Chaser but that X-2000 looks like an old T-Bird with stuff glued to it to make it 'go faster'.

OMG that is truly hysterical.

When I was growing up we had a neighbor who worked for Ford making proto type cars. He'd come home with some of the weirdest things. He like gull wing doors. Most of what he had were made with them. Lots of fast sports models too. Unfortunately, I can't recall if any of them ever panned out and were actually made into real cars that got sold.

They moved away before I was a teenager so I just don't remember :(

That little Mini turned up at a car show Mark and I arranged for charity. Andy heard about it through family.
He did a driving demo for us, getting it to spin and hop about :sms:it was really funny and brought in the crowds.

He has just completed a Picasso Citreon 2CV. Two lights on one wing, the radiator on the other and a doors all different. I knew he was doing something because a customer (who wants first refusal on Christine's Renault 4) sold him 2 cars so he could build it. Gary did the spray job on it but I only found out when he was bringing in film to get printed and refused to tell me what he was up to until the magazine publications appeared with his photo's!
