Any tips on how to get rid of mice? I'm pretty sure they are getting in through the neighbours house (we live in a terraced house - neighbours attatched on each side). Our neighbour has a massive back garden which is very overgrown, so a great habitat for mice.
We have trapped several, but they keep coming. Their not getting in from outside our house, so their either coming in through the attic, or under the floorboards.
Whats worse is that we have a budgie, who throws her food down for them, so she is feeding them!

To be honest, I'd say get a cat. Hopefully someone else with something more constructive will come along to help you.
Gail just recently had this problem but her cats were quite useless for it. crazy[1].gif
My cats do a pretty good job in mousing so I never really had to resort to any other means. My dogs I'm sure would do a fine job too if the vermin actually made it out of the basement.

| Salems pretty useless with mice, he brings them in in the first place lol. i end up having to catch them myself by chasing them and throwing a tub over the top. I release them back outside.

I tried to convince hubby that I need a cat, but he won't have it! The dogs are usless - one night the mice were scratching under the floor boards and the dogs were in the room, they barely even twitched an ear!
But get this, I read on some website that mice hate the smell of peppermint, so last night I made up a really strong peppermint tea and sprayed it around the room, and we didn't hear a peep lazy2[1].gif. I will do it again for awhile to see if it really works or is just a coincidence.
