So the weekend yielded a quiet one for us. Yard work, Star Trek movie (best ST ever!) and some lazing in front of the idiot box.
Flipping through the channels we see on the listing Jesus Camp on A&E channel. Out of curiosity of wtf that could possibly be, we turn it on.
Fuck all..... it was like watching a train wreck if you're one of those kinds of ghouls. I could not believe what I was seeing. I was appalled and disturbed at the thing.
This is a camp run by the Evangelicals to INDOCTRINATE CHILDREN into GOD'S ARMY so they can spread the word and recruit more little demented soldiers.
Now I know why people get all fucked up when the Catholics are mentioned but I gotta tell you, no matter how fucked up the Catholics are, they will NEVER compare to this shit.
I can tell you that Jesus would NOT approve of this in his name if he were alive today! All that man wanted was for people to be nice to each other and live peacefully. What a fucked up interpretation organized religion has made of his teachings!
Interviews with one woman stood out - she said democracy is good but we need to think about changing things because the way of Jesus is better. If we have to brainwash children to do this, then that is God's will.
You should have seen them brainwashing kids as young as 5 about abortion too. I was ANGRY watching this shit. You don't do that to children. You don't brainwash them. It's abusive to say the least.
I had to turn this off after a few minutes, it was that disturbing. I can't even make the right words come out here to tell you all about this but I would encourage you ALL to view it at least once to see for yourself, and then start writing and calling your TV provider to get that shit off A&E. Write to A&E too. It's awful. Absolutely awful and running it on the TV has the greater chance of people falling for this shit than them getting upset over it.
