I"ve only seen Season 1, but I absolutely love it (I own it) and am going to buy season 2 and watch it the next time I go out to sea. HBO has some of my favorite tv shows.
EDITED TO INCLUDE: Also, the history on the show is actually EXTREMELY accurate. Al Swearengan was a bastard, and the man who killed Wild Bill WAS found not-guilty...except that when he made it to Yankton, they caught him and said "No, you were found innocent in Deadwood...this is East River, and we don't abide murderers" and they hung him. I'm from South Dakota so this show is near and dear to me. What happened to the guy who killed Wild Bill is very understandable for a South Dakotan..there's kinda two South dakotas: East River, and West River (the state is divided by the Missouri river). East River has rolling plains, farms, and much more civilization, it's also more liberal. West River has mountains, ranches, less population, and is very conservative.

So Wu has a whole mess of Chinamen waiting at Custer City because he caught wind of Hearsts bringing in the Pinkertons and his hired guns to man handle the town to his bidding!
Wu comes to Swearingin's place to warn him of this and to tell Al that Wu's got his back.
Hearst had Aunt Lou's boy Odell killed or he lied to her about it to bring the woman misery. I'm betting it's because she gave him that brooch, (greed made the prick keep that - had to kill Odell so Aunt Lou don't get wind that Odell didn't get said brooch), and Hearsts PISSED that she had the NERVE to save $700 to give the boy.
Man, three more episodes till the end. Fucks., just in time to end it for the school/fall season!
