Well the hot topic of the day is the current Health Care bill that is waiting to be voted on. I've attached the whole 1018 page bill for you all to have a look at.
I'm all for revamping health care in this country but if this bill goes through, it'll dismantle private insurance as we know it (see section 102). Seniors - and I'm talking about anyone 65 years old will have to go through MANDATORY "life counseling" about DYING! Jesus H. Christ! Talk about a slap in the face.
Top it off they are making cuts in Medicare to our seniors with this bill.
This bill is being rammed down the throats of the people and thank God for the blue-dog democrats who are not happy with this bill and have managed to stall it until the summer recess is over.
This is a bad bill. It will require new taxes on certain foods, new taxes on those who already have private insurance and well how about the penalty per year if you lose your insurance and don't go on the plan!?
It's all in the bill. Don't believe me? Download it and give it a read.
Top it off today the Senate leader, that lovely shrew, Nancy Pelosi - decided that the GOP should be CENSORED and now no one is allowed to call the bill Government Health Plan. Well, what the hell is it then?
Don't yout think for one minute that if this goes through, censorship of other things won't be far behind it! Don't believe me? Check these links out and the video:

Oh and sorry if you don't like Fox News but searching for comparitve video and news stories on other media sites - like CNN - I found nothing but sloppy love stories on how great the plan is and how everyone should follow blindly into the mist.
I wish the rest of the news media would ask a few hard questions regarding anything the president does. It's up to them to ask questions and get answers, not suck up and follow blindly. News should be news and not a bunch of drooling love-sick drones.
It's OK to like the current president, just open your eyes and ask questions!
Ben Franklin said, "Love your country, fear your government." and he was right. Every administration should be asked hard questions!

I checked those against the bill I have and they are all true! Thanks for those Doc.
I also am aware that there are now 5 - that's right, 5 different bills being negotiated on the floor now.
They made a couple of revisions to the one I have up, It's not mandatory now that you take the govt option and small businesses with salaries under half million dollars don't have to pay a tax for it.
What I want to know is why this isn't going to go for a vote by the PEOPLE? Why don't we get a say how our money is going to be spent and if we like what our (and I say this loosely) "leaders" are doing 'for' us?
This is big.... gigantic big and if we get to vote in local elections for things like name changes to our towns, why the hell not health care on this massive level and expenditure and INTRUSION into our health and way it's managed?

This is the kind of nonsense we're getting from our representatives!
How can you NOT read the bill just because it's a lot of pages long?
Why are you not reading that laundry list of bullshit and cutting down on the garbage shoved in there and IMPROVING on it?
Why do you NOT read a bill and then expect the people to blindly follow you in voting for it? Does our government think we are that stupid?
